Upon completing high school, Andy moves from Boston to San Diego
to fulfill his dream of becoming a pro skateboarder. His car
has a broken radiator that forces him to drive the entire way with
the heater on.

Andy completes his first professional contest, the
inaugural Slam City Jam in Vancouver, Canada and places
fifth.

Street Grind Series in Sacramento, CA. This is Andy’s
first win as a professional skateboarder.

Andy wins the Gold Medal in
Vert, edging out his Airwalk teammate, Tony Hawk, to
Silver, at the ESPN X Games in Providence, RI.

Andy is named World Cup Skateboarding Overall Points Champion.

Andy signs a sponsorship deal with Powell Skateboards
following in the footsteps of skateboarding innovators
such as Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, Lance Mountain,
and Tony Hawk.
- During a visit to the Woodward skateboarding camp, Andy becomes
the first person to complete a back flip on his skateboard over a
funbox on the street course. He later duplicated his trick at the X Games during the
Street contest.

Andy takes 1st Place in Vert at the Vans
Triple Crown of Skateboarding in his hometown of Boston,
MA.

Andy wins the Gold Medal in Vert Doubles with Tony Hawk
and a Silver Medal in Street at the ESPN X Games in San
Diego, CA.

He then goes on to win 1st Place in Vert at
the World Cup Munster Mastership in Germany, and takes
the World Cup Skateboarding Overall
Points Championship
title again.

Transworld Skateboarding Magazine.

Airwalk releases the first Andy Mac signature shoe.

Andy wins the Gold Medal in Vert, the Gold Medal in
Vert Doubles, and a Silver Medal in Street at the ESPN X
Games in San Diego, CA, making him the first X Games
skateboarder to win medals in three disciplines.

Andy is named World Cup Skateboarding Overall
Points Champion.

on a Skateboard” at 52-feet 10-inches. He re-sets the
record later that year at 56-feet 10-inches.

Andy is named the Overall Series Vert Champion of the
Vans Triple Crown of Skateboarding.

Andy wins the Bronze Medal in Vert at the NBC Gravity
Games in Providence, RI.

Andy wins the Silver Medal in Vert and the Gold Medal
